Battlefield: Bad Company is the latest FPS to come out from EA (though still in beta testing stages). You may remember me talking about it’s destructible environments and how they tried to con it off as the only game doing so, what I didn’t get a chance to talk about was that EA are offering purchasable weapons on the Xbox 360 Marketplace and in the limited edition copy. This offer seems pretty sweet to some people, but to others, they are worried that they are going to be severely handicapped if they stick to free stuff. Thankfully, the good people over at Xbox 360 Fanboy have put in the time to compare all the weapons for us in the beta test for Battlefield: Bad Company. You may be surprised at just how un-awesome the purchasable weapons are. Check out the video.

The last thing we saw from Alone In The Dark was this mediocre trailer that didn’t really give us too great an idea of how the game was going to be played – it showed us some cool ideas, but not enough to pique our interest. So, to fix that, is the Tech Demo. It goes into much more detail in explaining how the inventory system will work, while that may sound boring, trust me, it’s awesome the way you can mix items. Eg, take lighter fluid, wrap sticky tape around it (turning it into a rather sticky bomb), puncture it with a knife, throw it at an enemy (leaving a trail of lighter fluid) then set the fluid trail on fire, blowing the enemy and anything around him to tiny little pieces.

We have finally been given some Rainbow Six Vegas 2 footage – actually, we’ve been given quite a lot of footage. Five decently sized video’s worth of it. The video above is all about multiplayer. It would seem they are going to be using an XP system similar to CoD4.
The other 4 video’s can be viewed after the jump.

As far as I’m concerned this is the biggest news of the year. Red Faction (one) was the first game I ever played from start till finish without stopping for a break – Man I love that game.
For those who never played it, Red Faction was the first game to do (almost) fully destructible environments. It should have started a revolution, but for some reason development companies didn’t pick up on how awesome it was until Battlefield: Bad Company. Well.. Daddy is back, and he’s here to show those Battlefield noobs how destructible environments are done!
THQ CEO Brian Farrell announced that Red Faction 3 will be developed by Volition and is currently set to be released between April 2008 and March 2009.

Twisted Metal: Head On for the PS2 is looking pretty sweet. It might even be good enough for you to put down that copy of Twisted Metal that’s running on your PSP.
Above you have a trailer set in Moscow, and below is one set in Egypt.

Gamevideo’s has put together a kick ass eight minute clip of every final smash move in the Japanese version of Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
If you’re wanting to stay surprised, and perhaps witness these moves first hand, then it would be a good idea to skip this video, but if you’re keen to know how kick ass Snakes move is, then click Play.
With the release of the Call of Duty 4 1.5 patch, comes the opportunity for players to create their own maps using the new Mod Tools. Also along with this patch, comes a competition. PC players are being asked to submit their home brew maps to the Infinity Ward CoD4 team, the maps will be judged, and a winner decided on March 31.
What’s your dream map? Wide open spaces perfect for sniping, or close quarters combat with plenty of cover to bound back and forth from? Maybe a nice mixture with plenty of avenues to attack from and some perfect choke points you can ambush from with the right amount of team work. Whatever you think makes a good multiplayer map, we want to see it. Most importantly, we want your best work.
We’re still waiting to see what the prize for best map is. At the moment all we know is there will be “special prizing and opportunities” – perhaps a job?

This Lost Odyssey trailer is well cut together, but that music. My god, what the hell is that? Are we back in the 60′s?

This trailer for The Bourne Conspiracy (game) is actually looking pretty damn badass. However, I’m trying not to get too excited about it. It’s been a long, long time since a movie turned game (or for that matter, game turned movie) has delivered on what I thought I would be getting.
